Cold War 2?
Michigan and Michigan State drew nearly 75,000 fans when they played their first outdoor hockey game at Spartan Stadium nine years ago. Now, it looks like they'll have a chance to shatter that record.
The Wolverines and Spartans are set to play another outdoor game this December, this time at Michigan Stadium.
First up between the teams, though, is a two-game series this weekend, Friday at MSU's Munn Arena and Saturday at Joe Louis Arena. Associate captain Luke Glendening has been quite a find for the Wolverines.

BASKETBALL • Michigan was going to have to win the Big Ten tournament to get into the NCAA field even before Tuesday's loss to Michigan State, but John Beilein admits it would "be a far different season" had Michigan hung on in some of its more devastating losses.
• Ohio State's Evan Turner is the leading candidate for Player of the Year. David Lighty actually led the Buckeyes to a win Wednesday over Iowa.
