Minnesota quarterback MarQueis Gray a game-time decision

By Nick Baumgardner

Maybe Michigan won't have to deal with agile Minnesota quarterback MarQueis Gray after all.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported today that the Golden Gopher junior quarterback has been labeled a game-time decision for the Minnesota at Michigan game Saturday (Noon, BTN).

Minnesota coach Jerry Kill confirmed the news on his radio show Thursday, one day after Grady did not practice due to a toe injury.

"We'll test on him a little bit today," Kill said during his radio show. "I'm hoping he'll be ready for Saturday and be able to give us minutes and so forth and play. But I don't know."

A dual-threat quarterback, Gray is seventh in the Big Ten in total offense with 218 yards per game.

If Gray is unable to play, the Golden Gophers likely will look to freshman quarterback Max Shortell. A drop-back passer, Shortell is 13-for-28 with 196 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

I think it does not matter if he is playing or not. I would love to see Michigan get their first shutout in big ten play since 01' which was against penn state! This may be the best opportunity they have had in a while and it would definately make a statement that the D has turned a corner. Go Blue!
