AnnArbor.com readers' photos of Friday's snowfall

By Elizabeth Edwards

We asked you to help us document Friday's oh-so-rare snowfall, and you responded with pictures of the charming scenes we woke up to this morning.

Although the storm didn't quite live up to expectations, it was enough to create some beautiful scenes and even a snowman or two.

If you have photos from today's snow that you want to include in this gallery, email us at news@annarbor.com or post them to our Facebook wall.

Photo from Ann Levenick gets my thumbs up, as well as the two dogs holding back for their human. Actually can't believe the "snowwoman" from Mardi Gras made it past the censors!?!

Here I thought you were getting snowmageddon! This HAS been a mild winter up there in dear old Michigan if this little snow gets news!

If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Those dogs are violating a local city ordinance, but they do look like they are approaching a cross walk.

What a disappointing snow storm. The weather people really crapped out this time. So much for the 6 to 8 inches they were going crazy over last night.

Last winter, every time the Weather Channel Desktop used red in a winter weather warning, they were right in their forecast. But this time they were wrong. Most of the storm must have passed to the north of us, if we can trust what they said about the storm system passing us to the north or south. They said if it passed to the south of us, we would get more snow than was forecast; if it passed to our north, we would get less.
