Eight guns stolen in Superior Township burglary
Four rifles, two shotguns and two handguns were stolen during a burglary Monday at a Superior Township home, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said.
The break-in occurred between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at a home in the 200 block of Aveline Street, a sheriff's department media summary said.
The thief or thieves appeared to have entered through an attached garage, the media summary said.
So far, no arrests have been made. The report follows the discovery Sunday of five guns stolen in Augusta Township.
Anyone with information can call the sheriff's department tip line at (734) 973-7711.

I wouldn't be surprised if these crimes are related. 8 more guns in the hands of criminals! SAD!

There was a mixup with the Nixle reports. The heading said 1200 block of Aveline, and the body of the report said 200 Aveline, NEITHER of which are in Superior Township.

There have been a lot of these stories. I'm starting to wonder if guns are being stolen for their value in scrap metal.
