Dexter-Pinckney Road reopens following tornado clean-up
Dexter-Pinckney Road in Dexter Township is now officially open to motorists.
The road was closed in March by the Washtenaw County Road Commission following destruction to trees during an EF-3 tornado that blew through the area on March 15.

The section of Dexter-Pinckney Road between Island Lake and Wylie roads was closed for storm clean-up and an outside contractor, Harry Fox, with specialized large tree clean-up equipment, was brought in to assist Road Commission crews with the chipping and hauling off of large trees and branches.
According to a release from the Road Commission, the road was re-opened Tuesday.
"Roadside restoration continues and the traveling public should expect intermittent lane closures until further notice," according to information from Jim Harmon, director of operations.

Glad the road is open. Shocking damage to see. Incredible there were no deaths let alone serious injury.
