It's great that nobody was killed or seriously injured. This dark cloud might have a silver lining - a boost to the construction industry. This should inject even more revenue into the Ann Arbor economy. Higher revenue will lead to increased spending and even more taxes collected.

What I am noticing from all the photos? Only newly built houses took a lot of damage. The ones that were older or more well built? Weathered out the storm. I knew what was coming and much preferred to be inside PI HI. 1956 well built brick and mortar. Pool included.

Image of the hail, I've never seen it this big: http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/427981_10101408664826213_2243653_68936313_222359197_n.jpg ! So glad there are no reported deaths or serious injuries so far, hoping it stays that way.

I need a new paint job and the hail did not do much to impress me. O well. Guess I will go chase a new storm. Otherwise, very impressive storm.

Golf ball size hail (have the pictures) near Lohr & Ellsworth. How our skylights weren't broken I don't know. Quite a din with the hail banging down. Will have to check tomorrow for damage to the roof, etc. Glad my car was parked in the garage !

The fire was a detached garage behind the first house on the NW corner of Stadium/S. Main...across from Pioneer. The sprint store, vacant lot for football parking, then the first house. There's widespread flooding; Scio Church near S. 7th. S. 7th in front of Pioneer is flooded, and not blocked off. Edgewood north of Stadium is flooded, and blocked off. We ran into friends who were "storm chasing" and taking pics. They saw a lightning strike at S. 7th and Pauline, and blew the power line out; that intersection is now blocked. He also had pics of flooding in Lansdowne, on Churchill and Mershon, with flooding above car windows.

You might want to either edit the video to eliminate the sound or put a warning with it. There are several f-bombs dropped as well as sh** a couple of times.

I would think cursing in this case is entirely normal and expected.

We saw that video on channel 4 last nite. They did bleep a lot of that stuff out. That must of been frightening and exciting at the same time.

Anyone know where the fire is? I was watching from downtown and could only see it was near PiHi.

It's on Stadium, across from Pioneer. We're driving over there to check on our other property by Stadium now.

We saw that funnel by Office Depot, from our second story window. Very scary stuff for this mom & my kids. There was supposed to be a choir concert at PiHi at 7:30, but it's since been called off. There were lots of students and adults at PiHi's basement; it's flooded. There's also a fire across the street from the high school.

We saw that fire across from PI HI. I accidentally cut off that fire truck. OOPS. Ddidn't see it. But from what I saw lightening did strike it. We saw an explosion and then this big eruption of fire. This was the garage next door to that house from the corner of Main and Stadium. Otherwise, we too were at PI HI trying to wait out those big hail balls. We are hoping the choir reschedules for next week. As for that flooding? Week walls and poor drainage. That area is from a 1956 poorly designed area to rebuild cars and motors. I remember that area very well. Coo. What a storm that was.
