Moon over State 1/1000

This week, I am excited to share volume 1 of my "Ann Arbor in 1000 images" editorial.

I wanted to take a moment to say Thank you to the readers whom have taken time out of their day to e-mail suggestions for this project.

We shall start our journey in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor on the corner of Liberty and State. It is a crisp February evening at the State Theatre as its bright lights shine. Who could refuse the State Theatre to be one of Ann Arbor's tried and true land marks?

Next, we take a stroll down Liberty passing couples holding hands, patrons visiting the local Starbucks, and contemplate the surrounding unique local business which thrive in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor.

A unique store called Orchid Lane catches my eye with its wool fingerless gloves on display just outside its entrance. It reminds me how I could use a pair on cold February days typing away on my computer.

We proceed into the store where they offer Fair Trade Womens Clothing and Jewelery. I wait patiently for my friends to complete their patronage at the store while playing with some of the world music instruments on the shelves.

A new beginning

Last but not least for the evening, I witness a new beginning as snow from this past weeks storm slides down my windshield while waiting to warm up for the drive home.

Where will the next adventure take me? I don't know. E-mail me your best suggestions of places, businesses, people, and things happening in Ann Arbor to photograph. Who knows, you just might end up representing your home town as the journey continues.

You're welcome Paul, I tested the site locally on a Mac with Safari loaded and it appears that the third and second photo overlap to a degree. I have made an update to include an additional line break between the two images, so hopefully they will update on the site shortly. Thank you for the feedback, and I appreciate the kind words about my images.

Hi Charlie: Thanks for your speedy reply. I'm looking at the page on AnnArbor.com. That's the one that's not rendering properly for me. BTW, your photos are very nice.

Hello Paul, which URL are you looking at in Safari please? If it is charlienaebeck.com, the site uses flash and active X technology which I am not certain displays in safari. You are welcome to view my html friendly site at Facebook which will also follow the journey if you do not have a flash supported browser. Thank you and have a great weekend! Charlie
