The University of Michigan Parkour Club conducted its fifth annual Michigan National Jam last weekend.
Parkour challenges participants to climb, leap and hurdle obstacles as fast as they can. That's a simple explanation, but it's an activity best seen to be understood. The jam, free to all participants, challenged competitors with obstacles in Liberty Plaza, The Cube and other areas on campus.
AnnArbor.com photographer Joe Tobianski captured the action on video and in photographs.

Please allow me to preempt the fuddy-duddies--who are sure to snort and scoff at these creative young people--with two choice words: Sour grapes.
