By Kyle Mattson

Break out the moist towelettes, the Mlive.com search for the best barbecue in Michigan wraps up today, when entertainment writer John Gonzalez completes his week-long tour with a visit to the two restaurants you nominated: Satchel's BBQ in Ann Arbor and Red Rock Downtown Barbecue in Ypsilanti.

After visiting 25 barbecue destinations, has Gonzo had his fill or will these two local favorites be able to keep him eating down to the bone?

A few hungry AnnArbor.com staff members will be following along on this hickory-smoked adventure and will live tweet each finger-licking-good bite, so we want to know: What questions do you have for the owners and pit-masters behind these two popular destinations? Comment below and we'll ask them while on site.

Also, at each location we will be holding a live barbecue quiz on Twitter where you could win a gift card to one of the two locations. So be sure to follow the event here live starting at 6:30 p.m. or on Twitter via the hashtag: #mibbq

Here's the schedule if you want to join us in person to support your favorite destination, and possibly get a free taste in as well!

I'm loving this. I am a huge fan of Satchel's. I also think Zingerman's Roadhouse BBQ is superb (the ribs are very pricey but worth it, and more importantly the pulled pork sandwich and pulled pork by-the-half-pound at the Roadshow are actually really good deals). But I had not heard of Red Rock, so yay! A new place to check out. How are the greens and cornbread? Satchel's greens are excellent, cornbread not so much.

... although I just noticed something about the Michigan's Best BBQ itinerary. You missed one. If you guys can go to Famous Dave's, you can go to Red Hot & Blue in Sterling Heights (on Van Dyke just north of 14 Mile Road). Best dry rub ribs I've ever had, actual banana pudding, and sweet biscuits to die for.

My Grandmother's ribs are the best, visit her at the 2012 Belleville Strawberry Festival. She will be located next to the school and her name is "Karen's Homemade meals & desserts" tell her I sent you!

Which grate material is best with grilling? (Cast iron, steel, porcelain, etc)

She said for a charcoal grill, steel grates are best!
