Drivers will find lane closure Wednesday on East Stadium at South Industrial
East Stadium Boulevard at South Industrial in Ann Arbor will be affected by road work from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday.
The right lane on the eastbound side of Stadium on both sides of the intersection will be closed, according to Ann Arbor officials.
The center lane of northbound South Industrial also will be closed where drivers turn onto Stadium.
The work is for road restoration, according to city notices.
The location is just east of the Stadium bridge, where lanes have been closed while the city sought funding to replace it.
It also comes during student move-in week at the University of Michigan, when several other roads in town will be busy or closed to accommodate the influx of students.

Okay, when is enough just that - enough? For all the "important" things our tax dollars have been spent on that are clearly frivolous, when will the important repairs become a priority? Why such complacency? Its time for a non-stop letter, email and phone call campaign to everyone representing us in an official capacity in the city. It is time to stop grumbling and let those that everyone put back in office know that, we, the public pay their salaries and demand the Stadium bridge be replaced immediately and stop waiting and hunting for funds. Juggle the funds the city has, as we all know it can be done. And lets get road repairs organized and prioritized. And while they are at it, organize and prioritize other key issues and stop wasting funds non-critical repairs, improvements, etc. Remember, its our hard earned tax dollars that pay their wages and they work for us NOT the other way around.

I heard they are going to close the bridge this fall. Anyone know when this fall? Kind of stupid to close it now with the games and such. Going to make for an interesting commute.

Does anybody in charge of construction in this city, no wait this county, no wait this state, really care about the coordination of these projects. How many times are you told some road is under construction and to seek and alternate route only to find the alternate route being tore up too.

Perhaps this is gas-line work in preparation for the Stadium bridge replacement?... consider it a taste of big interruptions in that area.

Because it really didn't need any work until now. (sarc)
