Scio Township man to stand trial on charges of sexually assaulting 14-year-old girl
A Scio Township man charged with sexually assaulting the 14-year-old daughter of a high school friend is headed to trial with a new attorney.
Samuel Grevious, 37, will stand trial on first- and third-degree criminal sexual conduct charges on Oct. 25, court records show.
Grevious recently appeared in Washtenaw County Circuit Court and indicated he wanted a public defender after Ann Arbor-based attorney Nader Nassif withdrew from the case. No reason for the switch was noted in court records.
According to testimony at a May preliminary hearing, the girl was forced to have sex with Grevious as part of the living arrangement he established with her mother, a friend from high school. Prosecutors also charged the girl's mother with rape and she is undergoing a mental competency examination at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry in York Township.
A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 1.
Both she and Grevious remain in custody without bond. The girl is now living with relatives, police said.

@michigan357 I have not seen any changes in the story so I guess you will have to give me a break down. Any time I hear about a sexual assult it sickens me and for this to have 14yr old child and her mother involved makes it that much worse. Not sure who Art is but I do know that as a parent EVERYONE should be first thinking about the child.

Wow, I wonder how many times this story is going to change???? Seems like every week.... And people are constantly believing EVERYTHING they read. The other charges have nothing to do with this case. But PiHi91 since your being nosey, just ask Art, he seems to have all the answers. You all are assuming this is all true.

I am just sick to my stomach. There were drug charges as well. Does anyone know what happened with that?

Oh man, That is really messed up. I hope the relatives have the daughter in some kind of counseling. I'm sure she is going to need it.
