Rich Rodriguez gets 'win', needs more on field; Heisman front-runner Cam Newton focus of investigation and more

By Kaleb Roedel

On the field, the word win attached with Rich Rodriguez has been absent for a month.

Thursday, off the field, the consensus was that the Michigan football coach came out on the winning end of the NCAA's investigation into the U-M football program.

But some, like the Detroit News' John Niyo, are wondering, "Rich Rod wins, but has he lost too much already?," Niyo writes. "Those are the questions being asked by the fans -- some more influential than others, of course -- and that's the concern being spread on the recruiting trail by others, no doubt."

RichRod is history unless UM is clueless. A bye week to get DRob healthy and rework the D. The D was the worst it has been since RichRod's first year. Time to find a good spread coach to help a great athlete, DRob, reach his potential. Penn State starts a rookie QB and M's D makes him look like an all-time great.
